Kashmir Solidarity Day - 2006
Kashmir Council of Australia observed the solidarity day remembering the victims of earthquake, the destruction and looting of the relief supplies by the local leaders. Shamelessly, the VIPs in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan are fully aware of the looters but are not willing to do anything about them.

KCA’s General Secretary (Mumtaz Mian) spent nearly three months (11/05 to 01/06) in the area and visited Muzaffarabad twice regarding our reconstruction program. During this period not a single item - blanket, quilt, warm clothes, tents etc that were sent from Australia and other countries was witnessed.

There were reports that the food items sent from UK were being sold in the market and that was personally confirmed. Food items, unlike blankets, cannot be stored for longer periods due to limited expiry dates.

Also, no witness to confirm the payment from the Rs12 Billion package could be found. A list of recipients and amount dispersed will be highly appreciated if one could provide us for confirmation.

An Eye Witness Account of Earthquake - (Waheed Qureshi)
On 8th October I was sitting in my office at the AJK University Muzaffarabad. The most devastating earthquake in the history of AJK struck at At 8.52AM. The whole campus shook like hell and our world ended with it.  My brother, a student at the Campus survived with both arms fractured while 45 students in his class died in a blink. 5 Members of the Faculty lost their lives. In the old campus building 300 students including 85 girls died. The capital of Azad Kashmir with all its hustle and bustle turned into a city of dead in seconds. 75% of its population has disappeared and all buildings razed to ground.

27th October 2005
Kashmir Council of Australia will raise $10 Millions to rebuild the Kashmiri nation through educational institutes.
We salute all of you for participating in collecting cash and goods for the victims of earthquake in Kashmir. Regardless of which end you worked on – you donated or collected? – you all performed to your best ability.
May Allah (swt) reward your noble deeds!

We have serious doubts about the money that was channelled through government accounts. Those who participated in the ‘Mulak Bachao Scheme’ of Nawaz Sharif would know what it means?
KCA, therefore, will collect the money and spend under its direct supervision with a total transparency and compliance with the auditing requirements. All accounts will be published on the net and will be open for inspection.

The Pakistanis and Kashmiris have three enemies: (1)
Illiteracy, (2) Corruption and (3) Poverty. We will defeat these enemies by building schools and launching a mass education plan. We will set up a model for moral and economic prosperity in Pakistan/Kashmir.

We need hundreds of volunteers to work on this program. Please let us know if you feel the same way and wish to rewrite the fate of Pakistanis/Kashmiris.

KCA - Concern over devastation caused by the earthquake
Members and Executives of Kashmir Council of Australia expressed grave concern over the devastation and loss of life caused by the powerful earthquake that hit Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Kotll, Bagh Mirpur, Uri and other areas around the epicentre of the earthquake. The 7.6-magnitude quake, with an epicentre 80km north-east of Islamabad, flattened many villages and killed 25000 as per the initial reports.

The text of the statement issued at the KCA Office is as follows"
"We are gravely concerned and saddened by the shocking news of devastation caused by the earthquake that hit Muzaffarabad (the state capital) and areas around its epicenter on 8th October 2005. Loss of life and property and suffering caused by the disaster is irreparable. We, in the moment of grief and despair, standby our Kashmiri and Pakistani brethrens who fell victim to the disaster and pledge our best support. We offer our heartiest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and places of shelter to the disaster especially when the peace initiative was in progress on both sides of the LOC for a lasting resolve. We pray to Allah (swt) to place the fallen high in the heaven, give courage to the survivors to withstand the shock and a speedy recovery for those who got injured".

Kashmir Solidarity Day - 2004
Kashmir Council of Australia conducted a computer-aided program observing Kashmir Solidarity Day on 7th February at Uniting Hall Lakemba (Sydney) NSW Australia.

The program was held:

  1. To pledge solidarity with Kashmiri brethren for their struggle for the basic human rights in Kashmir, and

  2. To increase awareness amongst Kashmiri and Pakistani communities living in New South Wales about the Kashmiri  movement and atrocious brutalities inflicted upon them by Indian troops to suppress their demand for a plebiscite as promised by both India and the UN since 1948.

Mumtaz Mian of Kashmir Council of Australia opened the meeting addressing a large gathering, presented highlights of the program and ran a computer-aided walk through the history of Kashmiri struggle for basic rights in Kashmir. Summing up the history, Mr Mian said, “it is a history filled with conspiracies, deception, mischief and dishonesty and held Lord Mountbatten, Indian government and the UN fully responsible for destroying peace in the region and for turning a blind eye to the war crimes, brutality and barbarism committed by the Indian paramilitary troops in Kashmir. “If any body is to be blamed for 85,000 innocent deaths in Kashmir, it is the United Nations that stoped the process of liberation of Kashmir through a betraying resolution of 1948” he further added.

The Chairperson, of the program Honourable Sylvia Hale, State Member for Parliament NSW, delivered a speech on the topic” Can the peace be achieved without war?” and agreed that the history of Kashmiri struggle is full of deception, dishonesty and international conspiracies. She also added that the problem is a legacy of the British colonial policy of divide and rule. She stated that war is no way to solve the dispute, the only way to resolve such issues is through dialogue. She praised the efforts by President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf for his peace initiatives.

Thereafter, Mrs Robina Khan delivered a speech based on extracts from Holy Quran proving “Islam is a religion of peace”.

Mumtaz Mian also expressed a possibility of Mirpur, Kotli and Bhimber becoming part of Pakistan and Jammu as part of India with Srinagar and Muzaffarabad given the option of a plebiscite to accede to India or Pakistan or to opt for an Independent state.

The program was declared a success and was concluded with the hope that the year 2004 will be the year of peace and prosperity for the sub-continent.

HRF Urges FBI to arrest Indian Terrorists
The Washington-based human rights group, Human Rights Foundation (HRF) has advised the U.S. Justice Department and the FBI to visit the Websites of the Kashmir Media Service (http://www.kmsnews.org), Kashmir Liberation Cell (http://www.kashmir.org), Council of Khalistan (http://www.khalistan.com), Burning Punjab (http://www,burningpunjab.com), Dalitstan Organization (http://www.dalitstan.org), Amnesty International (http://www.amnesty.org), Human Rights Watch (http://www.hrw.org), Information Times (http://www.InformationTimes.com), Pakistan News Service (http://www.paknews.com) and many other Websites of human rights organizations to collect documentary evidence against the barbarous crimes of Indian rulers, politicians, government officials, bureaucrats, diplomats, police officials, military officers and RAW agents who are barbaric terrorists.

Human Rights Foundation has prepared a list of many Indian terrorists including Vajpayee, Advani, Fernandes, Singh, Pandey, Mansingh, Abdullah and other terrorist leaders of the ruling BJP. HRF has sent its list to the Supreme Court of India and demanded that it should hand over all Indian terrorists to the FBI for arrest and prosecution in U.S. or in the international courts under U.S. because the Indian justice system has failed to prosecute Indian terrorists and to provide justice to the victims of Indian state terrorism.

The U.S. Human Rights Foundation has requested that the FBI should raid the Embassy of India in Washington, DC and Indian Consulates in the USA and arrest Indian Ambassador Lalit Mansingh and all other Indian diplomats for murder, torture, rape, rob, displace, terrorize and victimize women, children, men, refugees, senior citizens and ethnic minorities in India, Indian-occupied Kashmir and Indian-occupied Punjab, Khalistan.

The American human rights, anti-corruption and anti-terrorism organization has called on all victims of Indian state terrorism to contact the FBI, the U.S. Justice Department, law enforcement officials and human rights organizations to register criminal cases against terrorist Indian tyrants, in the United States and in the countries of their current residence, and to obtain arrest warrants for these Indian thugs from courts of law. HRF pointed out that the lawsuits should be filed in the U.S. and many other countries against Indian Government and its criminal leaders to demand millions of dollars in compensatory and punitive damages.

HRF has urged the U.S. Congress and the Bush Administration to cut off all U.S. economic and military aid to India and Israel, and impose economic/trade sanctions on India and Israel to condemn their crimes against humanity.

Phase III of Anti-Muslim State Sponsored Terrorism - by Mumtaz Mian, Sydney
(Phase-I)
Anti Muslim state sponsored terrorism commenced in 1948 when the satanic forces of the world passed resolutions in the so called United Nations. Although the resolutions promised the right for self determination to the Kashmiris but in fact it was an anti Muslim agenda to stop the process of liberation of Kashmir and buy India more time to firm its hold in Kashmir. In 1949, anti Muslim campaign was firmed by forcing millions of Palestinians out of their homes and letting the Zionist Jews move in and establish a so called state of Israel - the first state - of the terrorists, for the terrorists, by the terrorists and supported by the terrorists.

Both Kashmir and Palestine are the Muslim majority states where all the democratic values have been pushed aside and terrorists regimes have been installed.

(Phase-II)
On 17th January 1991, phase II of the anti Muslim state sponsored terrorism began by attacking Iraq. The terrorist objectives achieved by this aggression included (1) occupation of land in Iraq for a military base, (2) increasing military presence in Saudi Arabia and Gulf States, (3) control over natural resources and (4) continuous surveillance of the Arab states. The phase II was completed by US President George Bush.

(Phase-III)
In October 2001, ten years after the completion of the phase II, Phase III was begun by the US President George W Bush son of the master mind of the phase II by attacking Afghanistan - the poorest most country in the world with people from the stone age. By the way, the reason for this war has been claimed as September 11 attack on WTC but without establishing evidence and any judicial proceedings against the suspects, Afghani regime has been accused of master minding the attack on WTC. It is not known who was behind the attack on WTC but it is obvious it is part of the overall anti Muslim conspiracy. The objectives of this war are not different from the war against Iraq. It is obvious, the United States and the United Kingdom want to (1) establish a military base in Afghanistan to train terrorists in the name of human rights against China, (2) control natural resources in Afghanistan and Central Asia and (3) continuous surveillance against China and Muslim states in the region.

27th October - the Day of an Illegitimate Occupation of Kashmir
Kashmir Council of Australia observed 27th October 2001 as a black day for humanity. This day, 54 years ago, the evil forces of India moved into Kashmir to invade and occupy the valley. The freedom fighters started an armed struggle against the occupying forces in 1948 to free their land and people. When the process of liberation gained momentum the Indian leadership took the matter to the United Nations and resolutions were passed declaring that the fate of Kashmir will be determined by a popular plebiscite. This is how the evil forces of the world stopped the process of liberation of Kashmir and let India strengthen and firm its occupation over Kashmir. Since that day the United Nations has passed many resolutions - those resolutions that were designed to cause harm and destruction to the Muslims were implemented and those that were in favour of the Muslims were left hung in the air.

Mr Mumtaz Mian, General Secretary of KCA said in a statement issued today that "expect no mercy from the evil regime behind the illegitimate occupation and keep carving the lines of fate on the palm of the sub-continent. Promise of the freedom will not be fulfilled as it is in favour of you (Muslims). You are the masters of your destiny and keep the struggle going till freedom and peace are restored in the valley".

  The terrorists
What happened in New York and Washington on 11th September 2001 will remain a mystery for a long time but ready made support by Israel and India to America to attack Arab countries must be investigated to uncover the real conspiracy behind the terrorist attacks.

As a lot has been and is being said against terrorists and terrorism it is vital to define "terrorist" because it is difficult for a common person to understand the term and its true meanings.

A terrorist is an individual, an organization or a state that directly or indirectly enforce their own will by use of force on common people belonging to different social, economical, religious, cultural or political belief.

The United States, former Soviet union, Israel and India, undisputedly, qualify as terrorists as per the above definition.

The people who are victims of terrorism, raise their voice against terrorists or use force to free themselves from the oppression or demonstrate resistance against the oppressors or engage in act of war enforced by the oppressors are the freedom fighters and not the terrorists as the condition they are in is not by their own choice but has been enforced upon them.

The term "terrorists" has been used repeatedly for last 50 years by Indians, Israelis and Americans against Kashmiris, Palestinians and Muslims respectively.

As we know the terrorism has been around for centuries but expulsion of the Palestinians from Palestine and building of Israel on the footings of Palestine is an unprecedented act of extreme terrorism. Since the creation of Israel hell has been let lose on Palestinians by the occupying forces. The so called United Nations which is no different than Hitler's League of Nation has played no role in hurling the terrorists out of Palestine and restoring the state of Palestine. It, instead, has been patronising the illegitimate state of Israel and been sponsoring the acts of terrorism against Palestinians for last 51 years.

The behaviour of the reincarnated League of Nations towards Indians and Kashmiris has been same as towards Israel and Palestinians.

Both India and Israel conduct state sponsored terrorism in Kashmir and Palestine. The United States - an undisputed world power has a responsibility to fulfil for the future of our world and to maintain peace but regretfully, they have been supporting both India and Israel for last 51 years as a result of which the world is facing the crises.

The attacks on New York and Washington are not attacks on America but are attacks against peace and future of our world. The members and executives of KCA, therefore, hope and pray for vision, wisdom, protection from the wrong and guidance for the right. May lord be with us in the difficult hours. This is the text of the statement issued by KCA (Kashmir Council of Australia) on 14th September, 2001 against terrorism.

12th September 2001
New York and Washington - Crime Against Humanity
We the members and executives of Kashmir Council of Australia view indiscriminate killing of men, women and children in America on 11th September 2001 as a barbaric act and a crime against humanity. We support and urge the international community to bring the responsible to justice and wipe out the terrorists from the face of earth.

We offer our heartiest sympathies and condolences to the families of the victims and pray for the innocents who lost their lives. May Lord award their souls highest ranks in the heaven and bless their families with courage and strength to continue their journeys. Amen.

The 55th Independence Day of Pakistan
Following is the text of the independence message by  the General Secretary of Kashmir Council of Australia:
It has been 54 years since the creation of our beloved Pakistan. The great creator of the country - the Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah taught us the magic words Unity, Faith & Discipline – the foundation stones to build the nation. Regretfully, after the death of the Quaid, the country fell into hands of darkness. The tunnel vision short-sighted leadership betrayed the country and its people on every step. The people who had to build the nation were forced to fight for their survival while the leadership kept looting and stripping the country.

Fortunately, the winds have changed their directions and once again people are hopeful and determined to move forward for a prosperous future and a brighter - Pakistan.

The events that took place in Agra and Delhi will always be known as the golden events of the history of Pakistan.

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) sent his ambassadors to the neighbouring countries and one of them was returned with a bag full of dearth. The Prophet foretold, that the Muslims will invade this country and a few years later that country was included in the Muslim world. I may be lower than the dust of the Prophet’s feet but I see it very clear and you be my witness that Delhi will be freed from its unlawful occupants and will become a part of Pakistan. This is the fate and no matter what it takes it will happen. President Musharaf’s visit to Delhi must be noted as the soft scripting of the lines of destiny of Pakistan.

On behalf of Kashmir Council of Australia and Kashmiri brethren, we join Pakistani brethren to pray for steady growth for Pakistan. Also, We would like to convey to the President of Pakistan that eradication of corruption from legislative, judiciary and executive is more important than restoration of democracy for a better and stronger Pakistan.

A summary of the terrorist acts committed by the Indian forces in Kashmir since 1989 is as follows:
Today it is Kashmiris tomorrow it could by you. The UN is no different than Hitler’s League of Nations. Expect no mercy from them. It is you – you must safeguard your and your children’s future by representing the weak whether they are Kashmiris, Palestinians, Bosnians, Kosovos, Chechens, or Albanians.

Kashmir Solidarity Day in Sydney
SYDNEY:  Under the auspices of Kashmir Council of Australia, Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed on 4th February 2001 in Sydney Australia. The members of KCA carrying banners in support of the Kashmiris marched from the Town Hall Sydney to the office of Indian Consulate General at 25 Bligh Street Sydney.

At end of the procession, all assembled in front of the Indian Consulate General's Office where Dr Ali Sarfraz, President and Mr. Mumtaz Mian, General Secretary addressed the members and condemned the atrocities committed by the Indian Armed Forces in Kashmir to suppress the legitimate demand by the Kashmiris for the right for self-determination.

A summary of the atrocities (1989 to 2001) as detailed below was presented by Mr. Mumtaz Mian and a reminder addressed to the Indian Consulate General was handed in:

Mr. Mumtaz Mian of KCA briefed the members of KCA about the event and said "India had 365 billion person days since we last marched for the same event on 5th February 2000. There has not been a single attempt by the Indian Government to resolve the problem outstanding for last 53 years" Thereafter, Mr. Mian presented a summary of the atrocities  committed by Indian army on the Kashmiri men, women and children to suppress their legitimate demand for the right for self-determination promised by the United Nations in 1948.

Then, the microphone was passed onto Dr Ali Sarfraz of KCA and Mr. Bashir Malik who read out the messages from the President and the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan respectively. Both the messages have been issued for the Solidarity Day which is being observed worldwide.

Mr. Mian then read out a reminder addressed to the Indian Consulate General and the event was concluded peacefully with a word of thanks by Dr Sarfraz. (Links to the photos and text of the letter  to the Indian Consulate General will be available tomorrow).

More men & more horses to save the ailing Humpty Dumpty in Pakistan
Sydney: The judicial system in Pakistan is referred to as Humpty Dumpty and men & horses as the judges & courts in a statement issued by KCA today. It further stated that more judges & courts are not the resolution to the judicial crises in Pakistan. The system has been needing surgery for decades and it is time to bulldoze the old system and build a new one rather than building extensions to it.

A complete audit of recruitment procedures, political interference, corruption, financials, civil and criminal procedures are prerequisites for the new process. The process must cater for fair remuneration, institutional independence, appropriate costing and clean environments to ensure cheap and timely delivery of justice in the country. Additional judges and courts will be a total waste of resources. The economics of the country do not justify a financial blunder that carries a social impact of national magnitude. It further stated that KCA has the expertise in the area and is willing to help if required.

A greater challenge awaits Mujahideen when they return home
Sydney: A greater challenge awaits Mujahideen when they return home, said Mumtaz Mian, GS of KCA in Sydney on 6th October. Mumtaz Mian was commenting on a statement by the Interior Minister of Pakistan about Lashker-e-Tayba (a freedom fighter group in the Occupied Kashmir). Liberation of Kashmir should not be viewed as accomplishment of the mission but a starting point. The true accomplishment of the mission will be achieved when thugs and the remainders of the British Raj are removed from Pakistan and the pre-British India is restored as a democratic republic of Pakistan. This is the real mission and my vision, said Mumtaz Mian.
